Originally from Arlington, Virginia, Jacob found a love for film in high school and became the Film Club President his senior year. He went on to receive his Bachelor in Arts from VCUArts Cinema in the Spring of 2025.
He is a filmmaker whose work is grounded in videography that invokes an emotional experience connected to vivid memories. His work blends narrative filmmaking and documentary styles to examine intertwining relationships and their emotional aspects.

During his time at VCU he was a recipient of the Undergraduate Research and Opportunities Program Grant. With this grant Jacob created his first documentary, Phenomena of Emotions with its release on March 22nd, 2025 at Grace Street Theater. Outside of documentary work Jacob enjoys videography, specifically finding a special passion within camcorders and their ability to invoke connections from the subject to the camera.

Alongside his art practice, Jacob is a freelance videographer and Gaffer, collaborating with numerous teams in the Richmond area. ‍‍
