‍Through Healing Voice Pictures; This documentary investigates the treatment and effects put on the Brunswick 15, the first 15 African Americans to integrate into white schools in Brunswick County. Currently in Production.

Project Overview
‍Phenomena of Emotions is a documentary that delves into the intricate relationship between emotions and visual storytelling in film. Emotions serve as a driving force in nearly every aspect of our lives, particularly for filmmakers who craft narratives that resonate with audiences on a profound level.
While we often recognize the emotional impact films have on viewers, this documentary seeks to uncover how filmmakers' own emotions shape the art they create.
‍Project History
‍Beginning in 2023, Jacob receiving the Undergraduate Research and Opportunities (UROP) Grant from VCU. The next two years were spent creating the crew and working through the stages of production, having a debut in March 2025.

Jacob's Directorial debut was showed on March 22nd, 2025 at Grace Street Theater! Future showings are being planned for late 2025 and 2026!

‍Promotional Work
‍Two trailers were created in anticipation of the film:
Promo_1 was created using a written piece from subject Gray Adgate to invoke a connection memory and emotion.
Promo_2 features an excerpt from Elia Faith Crianza, juxtaposed with a family of ducks from the Chesapeake. You can find them linked above.
